Spontania Enables Creative Approach to Crisis Management
Madrid – October 27, 2008 – Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) and Dialcom, an international company with headquarters in Spain that develops software applications for communication and collaboration, have demonstrated that creativity and a properly designed use of the latest technology improve the competitiveness of organizations, by increasing productivity and reducing costs.
The labor union released preliminary cost saving and productivity improvement data after implementation of the Spontania Collaboration software suite developed by the Spanish company Dialcom. In little more than six months, CCOO has saved more than 25% on travel by its labor union managers to Latin America and other destinations in Europe.
Moreover, thanks to the Spontania Collaboration suite, the labor union has intensified internal training of its workers, holding up to one inter-office training seminar per week, which compares with the two seminars per year that it held in the past, while reducing the costs associated with organizing these events by 90%.“The solution allows us to communicate with our colleagues and work in real time without having to pay travel costs or expense accounts. Plus, we did not have to make any additional investment in computer equipment or infrastructure. The only thing new is Spontania. We already had everything else,” says Alberto González, CCOO’s systems director.
The Spontania platform is an adaptable office software solution that is designed to scale and is simple to manage. Spontania allows people to conduct interactive meetings using voice, video and application sharing. Users can join a meeting using their preferred communication device including, PCs, PDAs, mobile telephones, landline phones and full-room videoconferencing. “Now we can hold remote seminars which improve the internal training of our workers and managers from their work station or even from home, as well as managing projects between different sites by holding virtual meetings and promoting de-localized or itinerant work, using a truly useful and productive tool,” points out Alberto González, CCOO’s systems director.
“Spontania works with the click of a button. It allows you to be there whenever you are needed, as well as providing your personal touch in a close relationship, thanks to the video system which runs on the Internet. We are helping lots of organizations around the world to decrease their costs while increasing their productivity… with technology developed in Zaragoza Spain,” concludes Javier Marín, a Dialcom partner.
Dialcom was established in Spain in the year 2000, and since then its growth has been exponential. The company is one of the few Spanish high-tech businesses that successfully market its solutions beyond its borders.
